No headway in Congress-DMK alliance for TN poll, still at loggerheads. Will they toss "Head or Tail"?
PMK - 31
VCK - 10
Others - 11
Total 52 seats have already gone and 182 seats are remaining.
Whatever be the no of seats that Congress is going to get,
Isnt it going to lose all seats?
All Congress candidates will lose their deposits too.

Congress, it seems, havent really understood ground realities in TN. Neither the capabilities of their future leader (?!) in analysing situations. Politics doesnt happen over lap tops and portals but at grass loot levels, something which congress do not have any access to. for nearly 4 decades in TN now. Whether they have 90 candidates to contest (although to win a single seat they are still at the mercy of the DMK), given a chance, is something left to be seen but they are not shying of making such irreasonable demands.. The congress leaders must realize that they are trying something which even their strongest leader (Indira) couldnt succeed - to see the end of the DMK.

This is what happens when leaders dont practise family planning. What can Karuna, Ramadoss, Sonia and Chidambaram do? Each wants a continuation of his/her dynasty and this alliance is an alliance by dynasties for dynasties. Unfortunately, Karunas family in particular is itself very large and he needs around 100 seats simply to satisfy his family members! The old man must now be wishing he was the CM of a larger state like UP or Bihar that have more seats to go around.

DMK should not budge. Congress should be made to contest alone, so that the whole world will what standing it has in TN. Itll be a repetition of Bihar, where it lost its deposits in as many as 221 out out of the 243 seats it contested in. Who knows, it may even be worse than that!

Even DMK will get severe drubbing if it goes alone. It will not win more than 35 seats. For all you know they might get swept off......I want to see both corrupt parties DMK and Congress getting a pasting in this election. We need a different govt to save TN from Sand, Granite, Real Estate Mafia. The hooliganism prevailing will also come down with AIADMK coming to power
Answer: Just now watched TV saying Gulam canceled his meeting with M.K today, and he awaits cong supremo's decision!
Out of 52 seats so far allotted, all caste based allocations!!!!!!!!!!! are we going towards a proper growth or are we proceeding 4 centuries backward!!! PMK,VCK, Muslim, Kongu, .............!!!

Why does Bush only use his veto when it might actually help Americans?
His very first veto was for stem cell research that couldve helped a 9 yr old girl with Leukemia because he cares more about a microscopic bundle of cells. His latest veto is for expanding healthcare to cover more uninsured children in this country because its too expensive. Yet he wastes billions of dollars looking for imaginary WMDs in far away countries and lets all his buddies in Congress pass as much pork and graft as possible. He spends our money like a maniac, yet the only time hes fiscally conservative is when it might actually help the average family.
Answer: It merely shows where his and the Republican party's priorities are.

Why is the Democratic party against economic growth and balanced budgets?
Im 14, and Im concerned about the countrys direction. Were in trouble economically and we have a deficit crisis. Yet the Democrats policies are completely against the principles America stands for: limited government, free enterprise, and personal responsibility. Their policies make it harder for people to create jobs.
-The Democrats support raising taxes on "the rich" and "greedy corporations", yet the rich are the ones that create our jobs! And raising taxes on business means less money can be used to create jobs. They also want to raise spending ad infinitum, which increases the national debt. This creates a huge cloud of uncertainty in the business community about if their taxes will go up. We already have the highest corporate tax rate in the world and businesses are in mass exodus to countries with fairer tax codes.
-The Democrats support more job-killing regulations of industries.. For example, if an onion farmer drops a few of his onions on the very same soil its grown on, those onions cant be brought to market. This raises food prices, which in turn, means less economic growth.
-The Democrats support increasing the minimum wage. This sounds like good policy, but it means companies can hire less employees. Its unfair to poor people because it decreases the amount of unskilled labor a company can hire. Also, it drives up the cost of products, discouraging consumption, which is very bad for the economy.
-The Democrats refuse to allow drilling offshore and on the ground. They wont let us open nuclear power plants or mine for coal. All of this because of the population of some rare species of caribou or environmental extremist reasons like that. Come on! This makes us more dependent on oil from overseas, and it increases the cost of energy. This severely shrinks our economy and it creates pain for families. Gas is at $4/gallon, and Obamas solution is to tax the oil companies more! Outrageous! Real scientists, like the co-founder of the Weather Channel, know that global warming is a myth!
-The Democrats oppose the Connie Mac plan which cuts government spending 1 measly percent a year! Theyre so opposed to cutting any spending whatsoever and they were able to whine enough to get John Boehner to sign onto a deal that had lots of "future" spending cuts and a lot less in real cuts.
-The Democrats support "right-to-work" legislation forcing people to join a Union. This makes the US less business-friendly. And the Obama administration wouldnt let Boeing move its factory to South Carolina because South Carolina was a right-to-work state! Prohibiting a company from doing business and creating jobs when families are struggling? What kind of "change" is that?
-As I pointed out earlier, Democrats support increasing taxes which winds up decreasing government revenue. When you take a greater percentage out of the private economy, you have a smaller economy and less growth. This hurts the amount of revenue government takes in.
-Democrats have opposed every real plan to reduce the deficit, including the Connie Mac plan(mentioned earlier), Cut Cap and Balance, and the Republican Study Commission Plan. They are the party of no solutions, blank checks, and smoke-and-mirrors budgeting.
All in all, Democrats are a conglomerate of liberal activists, freak-environmentalists, atheist progressive vegans, union thugs, and socialists.
Please tell me Democrats, why do you oppose cutting government spending and promoting economic growth? Balanced budgets and lower taxes are basic principles that made this country strong. Socialism has always failed. Entrepreneurship is what will save us from the recession, not more government spending. You are jeopardizing my countrys future by leaving us a mountain of debt(crisis started in 2006 when the Dems took over Congress) and a weak economy. Why?
Many economists are on my side......F.A. Hayek, Milton Friedman, Peter Morici, etc. And I get my information from many reputable sources, including the Wall Street Journal, World Net Daily, FOX News(Regular and Business), CNN Money(liberal bias but not as horrible as other places).

WITH little fanfare, a dangerous notion has taken hold in progressive policy circles: that the amount of money borrowed by the federal government from Americans to finance its mammoth deficits doesnt matter. How do you effectively explain a billion to the next generation, especially on the topic of taxes?
a. A billion seconds ago it was 1959.
b. A billion minutes ago Jesus walked the earth.
c. A billion hours ago our ancestors were living in the stone age.
d. A billion days ago no-one walked the earth on two bare feet.
e. A billion dollars ago was only 8 hours and 20 minutes, at the rate our government is spending it.
While this thought is still fresh in our minds, lets take a look at New Orleans. Its amazing what you can learn with a little simple division..
Louisiana Senator, Mary Landrieu (D), is presently asking Congress for $250,000,000,000 (250 Billion dollars) to rebuild New Orleans. Interesting number, what does it mean?
If you are one of 484,674 residents of New Orleans (every man, woman, and child) you each get $516,528.
If you have one of the 188,251 homes in New Orleans, your home gets $1,329,787.
If you are a family of four, your family gets $2,066,012.

The Congress party on Tuesday accommodated four families: Monserrate, Madkaikar, Naik and Alemao in the second list of candidates.

(small government)
We will meet these challenges, not through big government. The era of big government is over, but we cant go back to a time when our citizens were just left to fend for themselves.
(balancing the budget)
As we move forward with tomorrows challenges, we also must take care of yesterdays unfinished business. First, we must balance the budget.
(fiscal responsibility)
And while we are balancing the budget, theres another piece of business Congress must take care of right now. Like each of us, our nation is only as good as its word. For 220 years, the government of the United States has honored its obligation and kept its word. Through the Civil War, two World Wars, and the Depression, America has paid its bills and kept its word. When we borrow money, we promise to pay it back and we pay it back -- no matter what.
Our strong economy is built on the bedrock of this commitment. The worlds economy relies on the full faith and credit of the United States, and its one thing that enables us to keep all of our interest rates down, so that we can afford to borrow and grow and live.
From time to time, to keep its word, Congress has had to pass debt ceiling legislation so the government can meet its obligations. Congress has always done this when necessary. But this Congress, especially some in the House of Representatives, are trying to use the debt ceiling as a way to get its way in the budget negotiations.
(preserving the American Dream)
But we also face stiff challenges. Challenges we must meet and meet together if we are to preserve the American dream for all Americans, maintain Americas leadership for peace and freedom, and continue to come together around our basic values.
(acknowleding God and past heroes)
Good morning. Before I speak about the challenges we face today, Id like to take just a moment to remember together a tragedy that 10 years ago tore at our nations heart.
On January the 28, 1986, the seven courageous Americans of the Space Shuttle Challenger -- parents and scientists, pilots, and our first teacher in space -- gave their souls back to God.
(disarming enemies)
There have been some hopeful signs this week that we can work together. Last night, the Senate ratified the START II treaty, which, when Russia ratifies it, will enable us to make continued dramatic reductions of our nuclear arsenal and remove further the nuclear cloud from our childrens future.
(American exceptionalism, family, school choice, earned prosperity, tough on crime, environmental conservation, fiscal conservatism)
These are the seven challenges I set forth Tuesday night -- to strengthen our families, to renew our schools and expand educational opportunity, to help every American whos willing to work for it achieve economic security, to take our streets back from crime, to protect our environment, to reinvent our government so that it serves better and costs less, and to keep America the leading force for peace and freedom throughout the world.
(tax cuts)
Now its time to finish the job. As you know, for some time, Ive been working with Republicans and Democrats in Congress to forge a balanced budget that protects our values. Though significant differences remain between our two plans, Republicans and I have enough cuts in common to balance the budget in seven years and to provide a modest tax cut without devastating Medicare, Medicaid, education, and the environment and without raising taxes on working families.

Is the Healthcare Bill Sensible at All?
If the Healthcare Bill Becomes Law, Will Any Private Company Write Policies?
If your answer is "Yes, private companies would still write health insurance policies", then please tell me, "Why would they?"
Once the rules change so that companies writing new policies have to write them for all applicants including those with pre-existing illness and disability, is that really insurance?
Isnt that just harnessing up the shareholders of the corporation to pay the ongoing costs of the applicant with an existing illness of disability?
Why would the shareholders to that? What would be in their heads? What would their business model be?
Maybe something like "Oh yes, we get to pay the costs of this applicants illness or disability, and look how much money we will be able to give to help that applicant. Then we can fail to breakeven, and become bankrupt and see our shares go to zero value, oh that would be fun, how wonderful!"
When I got my MBA, I never saw a company with a business model like that. AIG may have had that, but they werent doing it on purpose.
Keep in mind that after the rules change, the old policies can stay in place. The old "book" of existing contracts can become the entire insurance business of the corporation. As long as they dont write new policies, they dont have to take all comers and insure people with pre-existing illness or pre-existing disability. They dont have to go into the charitable payment for sick people business, which doesnt seem a very smart business model for a profit seeking corporation.
Ceasing writing new health insurance wont put these companies out of business, but continuing to do so surely will.
So, they will apply their talents to other forms of risk-related trading. The Cap and Trade Bill, if it is enacted into law will create a vast market for pollution permissions. These will be actively bought and sold by firms that have experience in forward projection of financial values -- like health insurance companies. Its an Enron style business. Then theres also fire insurance, liability, flood, inability to work insurance, long-term care, all sorts of elements in the risk projection business that could be smoothly integrated into their business models to replace writing new health insurance policies, and would be.
So the public option would become the only option for persons seeking health insurance who dont already have a policy.
How would that work? Thats the Bad Business Model company, and it would work by massive draws on the Federal Treasury until the moment when Congress realizes that it made a huge mistake, and that the Federal government is bankrupt because of operating a business that is well and truly not sensible.
When would that happen? It would only take about two years for the Congress to figure this out.
What would they do?
They would have to close down the public option companies.
So what then?
Then nobody can get health insurance from any source.
You mean the private corporations would not get back into that business?
Right, I dont think they would. Once burned, twice shy.
So with no health insurance, would healthcare costs be lower for the average American family?
They might be, as long as nobody in that family got sick. But the number of bankrupt families due to unexpected health problems would go up dramatically.
Would this be better than what we have right now?
No, it would not be better.
Is there a good reason to enact the Healthcare Bill?
No, theres no good reason to do that.
Answer: Anybody who has done any research on the subject knows this is just a way to get to complete government run health care. It's not up for debate, it's a fact. Even liberal parties are saying that the conservatives are right that it will create a government run system. The difference is they are happy it will.
I bet you people can't wait until pregnant women are giving birth in hospital bathrooms or dieing of colon cancer before they can get examined. Just like Britain or Canada.
Check you facts. Research what goes on in other countries with government health care.
This isn't about helping people, it's about government control.
...........
Quote from Josh:
""Once the rules change so that companies writing new policies have to write them for all applicants including those with pre-existing illness and disability, is that really insurance?"
Yes, of course. That's the whole idea of insurance, shared risk, and it's the way health insurance used to work. The insurance companies are actually *in favor* of this provision."
---------
Are you serious Josh? Do you even think about why this is a bad thing? The whole point (and fairness) of insurance is that you pay IN CASE you get sick. Not WHEN you get sick. Why should an insurance company pay for your coverage when you haven't been paying into the pot until that point? Getting sick and then going to a company and saying, "Pay for my expenses." is not insurance.
If you don't buy insurance ahead of time, it's nobody fault but your own if you get sick without coverage. No insurance company can survive when people only come to them after they have gotten sick. And it certainly is NOT shared risk! It's called a handout!
................
Wow to the person below me who actually believes all this will "lower the deficit". Good luck with that. If this passes, just saying now that I told you so. Our debt is going to crush us, and this will add to it.

In response to all the protest about immigration?
Subject: Lets say I break into your house.
A lady wrote the best letter in the Editorials in ages!
It explains things better than all the baloney you hear on TV.
Her point:
Recently large demonstrations have taken place across the
Country protesting the fact that Congress is finally addressing
The issue of illegal immigration.
Certain people are angry that the US might protect its own
borders, might make it harder to sneak into this country and,
once here, to stay indefinitely.
Let me see if I correctly understand the thinking behind these protests.
Lets say I break into your house. Lets say that when you discover
me in your house, you insist that I leave. But I say, "Ive made all
the beds and washed the dishes and did the laundry and swept the floors.
Ive done all the things you dont like to do. Im hard-working
and honest (except for when I broke into your house).
According to the protesters you are:
1 Required to let me stay in your house.
2 Required to add me to your familys insurance plan.
3 Required to Educate my kids.
4 Required to Provide other benefits to me & to my family.
My husband will do all of your yard work because he is also
Hard-working and honest, except for that breaking in part.
If you try to call the police or force me out, I will call my friends who
Will picket your house carrying signs that proclaim my RIGHT to be there.
Its only fair, after all, because you have a nicer house than I do,
And Im just trying to better myself. Im a hard-working and honest,
Person, except for well, you know, I did break into your house.
And what a deal it is for me! I live in your house, contributing only a
fraction of the cost of my keep, and there is nothing you can do about it
without being accused of cold, uncaring, selfish, prejudiced, and
bigoted behavior.
Oh yeah, I DEMAND that you to learn MY LANGUAGE so you can
communicate with me.
Why cant people see how ridiculous this is?
Only in AMERICA .
I do not know where this originated. It was sent to me via email from a friend. I just agree with it whole heartedly.
Answer: The fact is that your incorrigible teenage son let them in, and feeds them when you're not looking.
In the US, it's called EMPLOYERS of illegal immigrants, you know.
Since your son is culpable in the break-in and the housing of these people, the judge might just let them stay in your house.
When you're ready to send your son to jail, too, only then can you put them out.
Sorry.

How About the Horrible Conditions at Walter Reed Army Hospital?
Its been confirmed that the conditions at Walter Reed Army Hospital is so horrible that the new Defense Secretary, Bob Gates, had to fire the Secretary of the Army and the Commanding General of the hospital. Veterans and their families testified before congress that those conditions had existed for years but the Army had ordered our soldiers/veterans to keep quiet and not talking to the media.
How can people who keep on saying they support our troops can treat our servicemen and women so cruelly? The President, Vice President and the former Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, Republican Senator John Warner had been saying for years they visited Walter Reed Hospital all the times and were moved by the patriotism and dedication of our men amd women in uniform who were wounded and brought there so why didnt they also moved by those horrible conditions at the Army Hospital and do something about it? Talk is cheap!
There are enough blames to go around to be sure but its the Republicans who have been in charge for the last six years and its mainly they that portray themselves as the champions in supporting our troops and veterans. Therefore, the question is directed them more than the others.
Answer: Our veterans have always been cared for with the utmost contempt! Always, in out history we have even had veterans riots in washington dc! It is horrible, the va is backlogged with over 400,000 service connected unprocessed claims many dating back to Viet Nam! Its time to take action, both parties bear the responsibility, but lets stop finger pointing and change it!
As a disbaled veteran, I am applaed at the lack of quality care we recieve!

We have Terry Moran of ABC, Chris Lehman of Congressional Quarterly -- this is a montage coming up -- Chris Matthews, Jessica Yellin at CNN, David Wright at ABC, James Moore at PMSNBC, David Gergen, David "Rodham" Gergen from... Well, he rotates. I guess hes at TIME now, but he goes from the Kennedy School to Newsweek to CNN to wherever. Jim Axelrod of CBS. Dan Abrams of PMSNBC. Theyre all talking here about Karl Roves departure.
MORAN : Divisiveness! Anger! Ruthlessness! Thats what you call "Rovian politics."
LEHMAN: The news to most Americans here isnt so much that Karl Rove is leaving, as that Karl Rove has a family.
MATTHEWS: He was knighting the guy, and he said he was going to take care of this bum.
YELLIN: The dark prince of the Bush administration.
WRIGHT: Many saw his fingerprints in the attack on John McCains character; 2004 witnessed a similar sustained attack on John Kerrys war record
MOORE: There is a certain part of this guy that is pathological.
GERGEN: An evil one who manipulated politics...
AXELROD: Karl Rove is packing his bags ...and leaving the party in tatters.
ABRAMS: If Karl Rove had been a professional wrestler, they might have called him The Constitutional Crippler.
RUSH: (laughing) You just have to laugh at this. You get offended and mad at it, but after that, you just have to laugh at it. Chris Lehman is the guy who said, hes from Congressional Quarterly, "The news to most Americans here isnt so much that Karl Rove is leaving, as that Karl Rove has a family." Now, I want to make a point about all this. The only reason these people hate Rove is because he outsmarted them at nearly every turn, and they hate that. You know, power is theirs by birthrate. Rove, in their minds, is the one person that came along and took it away from them and kept it away from them for all these years, and they just despise him. They are the smartest people in the room, and to be outsmarted by rubes like Rove from Texas, and Bush, just offends them all to hell. Theyre blaming Rove for the swift boat "attacks" now. Theyre blaming Rove for the swift boat "attacks" on Kerry. Nobody ever disproved any of the allegations made by the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth. The problem that the libs have with that is, you dont dare tell the truth about them.
Thats the violation here. You dont run commercials about the truth regarding Democrats, John Kerry, or whoever. They are immune from this. You have to understand their attitude. Theyre high and theyre exalted. They live on the mountaintop, and they are not to be held accountable, and they are want to be put under scrutiny, certainly not by the opposition, certainly not by conservatives. But the point I want to make here is to show you just how stupid, dumb, uninformed, and forgetful these people are. If Rove was in charge of everything, can we go back to the first month of the Bush presidency in 2001? Does anybody remember the "new tone"? Bush came to town determined to end the bickering and partisanship that had been featured in eight years of Clinton. As such, he let Ted Kennedy write the education bill. He went along with a whole bunch of liberal ideas, courted liberals, had them up to the White House. He brought the Kennedy clan up to watch some movie about the Cuban Missile Crisis or some such thing. He just went out of his way.
Do they think Rove was involved in that at all? If they do think Rove was involved in it, do they think it was sincere and genuine, or do you think they were being used? Because Im hear to tell you that it was sincere, it was genuine. Bush had succeeded in bringing Democrats and Republicans together when he was governor of Texas. He really thought he could do it here -- and Rove was with him in Texas -- and look what it got him! Look what the new tone got him. Look what joining on immigration got him. Look at the way Rove is being discussed today after all of the levels of "outreach." George Bush and Karl Rove do not criticize these people publicly at all. They are not partisan. Most of their Bush supporters wish they would, wish they would fight back, wish they would respond to all of these insulting allegations about Bush lying and people dying and "Bush is Hitler" and Bush is dumb and Bush is a loser. He doesnt talk about the Democrats that way, and neither does Karl Rove. All they did was go out and beat them. All they did was getting Sam Alito and John Roberts on the Supreme Court.
By the way, you can talk about Iraq all you want, but that issue, that Supreme Court and getting rid of the quasi-conservative majority and making sure it doesnt grow, thats as much on the minds of people like Chuck "Schemer" as the Iraq war or any other issue is. If they lose the White House again and a Republican president has aim at two or three more Supreme Court nominations, they are dead in the water for a generation or two, at least. Make no mistake about it. Rove and Bush got two guys on the court, Alito and Roberts, but they never talk about the Democrats the way you hear these media people talking about Karl Rove, the way that you hear them talking about George W. Bush. So for them to sit there and say divisiveness, anger, ruthlessness? He was "the dark prince" of the Bush administration? This descends from the hubris and from the elitism and from the arrogance of liberals who believe themselves he above being beaten, of being immune from criticism and so forth. Last night on Nightline Terry Moran interviewed Donna Brazile, and Moran says, "Did Rove play dirty?"
BRAZILE: I would say that Karl has gotten away with things that many of us on the Democratic side could never get away with.
MORAN: Like what?
BRAZILE: Well, for example, we couldnt pit white evangelical Christians against gays. We couldnt pit gun owners against, you know, blacks -- and yet Karl could find a way to pit one group after another.
RUSH: Whoa! Normally I have some respect for Donna Brazile, but this is just absurd, to say that Karl Rove and George W. Bush are divisive -- blacks against, what, gun owners? Ladies and gentlemen, page one of the Democrat Party playbook is: Keep people divided, fighting with each other, angry, resenting each other; make sure that there is constant crisis and angst; make sure there is no unity on whatever the issue. Wedge everything. Cause a gap to exist between everything. Theres no desire for unity whatsoever, unless their opponents decide to change their principles and drop their principles and join the Democrats. Were listening to an alternative universe here. Heres another one. This is like Mark Halperin. He used to write The Note on ABCs website. Hes on The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer. Hes also on there with David "Rodham" Gergen. Jim Lehrer asked the question: "Is some of the glow gone, Mark? How would you characterize how this man should be remembered?"
HALPERIN: Someone who wanted to bring conservative change and felt that it was more important to win power and try to make conservative change than it was to seek bipartisan compromise.
RUSH: Man, oh, man! I mean, if youre talking about the Clintons, thats a brilliant comment. Seek and destroy their enemies is exactly what they do! What is this business of compromise? This guy just makes my point. The clichés that these guys live with! "ssomeone who wanted to bring conservative change, felt that it was more important to win power. More important try to make conservative change than it was to seek bipartisan compromise." When a liberal says, "Its important for bipartisan compromise," what a liberal means is, "You conservatives better drop your principles and agree with us and let us have our way, because your way is conservatism and that stinks and thats a threat to us and you dont even really exist. We not even going to give you the time of day. Were not going to debate you on it because its an illegitimate way of thinking. Were the majority. Were the smart people. Were the elites!" So Rove, yeah, tried to win -- not only tried, did. You know whats funny about this, in addition to everything I have brilliantly laid out, if they think this has been a conservative administration, whew! Can you imagine what they would do if somebody like me showed up or if somebody like Ronald Reagan came back? If they think this administration has been conservative... Rove and these guys went out of their way, as I say, via the "new tone," to join Democrats in a whole bunch of issues, in a whole bunch of ways.
Do you remember the Medicare part B entitlement, this new prescription drug entitlement for the seasoned citizens? Now, under normal circumstances, the Democrats would love that. "Why, that would be great. Why, another government entitlement that we can never change thats its always going to get more money, and it goes to the senior citizens, and they vote in big numbers!" They hated it. They despised it. You know why? Because it wasnt theirs! They didnt think theyd be able to get credit for it, and they dont want conservatives or Republicans getting credit for big government entitlements. Frankly, we conservatives dont want that kind of thing. I got in a long argument with Tom DeLay about Medicare part B because he insisted that it was not that big of an entitlement, that it brought market forces into prescription prices. Hes right about that, but it was still is a new entitlement. It was still something, under normal circumstances, that Democrats would have loved. So who is it thats concerned with the welfare of the people and doing right, or whos obsessed with getting credit and having victory and winning and so forth? They wouldnt join Bush on anything. Other than on those issues where they were scared not to, and the big one being the Iraq war. Now, Gergen was asked a question by Jim Lehrer. "Do you agree with that, David, that all Rove wanted to do, go out there and destroy his enemies?"
GERGEN: There are many, many Americans who feel, "Wait a minute, this was not artist of the smear, uh, this is a guy who played politics of destruction. This is a guy who played hardball right from the beginning."
RUSH: I swear, folks, its like when you go read these liberal blogs, these kook fringe Democrat base members, theyre all upset because their elected officials arent mean enough. Theyre afraid of Bush. Theyre not attacking. (Laughs) They ought to be thrilled! If thats what they really want, if they just want to be bad-mouthing, if they want their elected leaders just to be bad-mouthing the president, my God! They should be happy! They should be euphoric. Thats all the Democrats have been doing.
BREAK TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: This is our old buddy Howard Fineman, who was on PMS last night saying this about Rove and Bush.
FINEMAN: In many ways Bush and Rove have won, because as the Democrats are conceding quietly, if not openly, its going to be hard to yank all of the troops out of Iraq -- and as the Democrats are showing, theyre probably not going to have the guts to abolish George Bushs tax cuts. So in certain respects, Bush and Rove have won.
RUSH: Certain respects? Whos been in the White House the last six and a half years? (Laughing.) Thats what eats them.
BREAK TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: Get this headline from USA Today: "To Democrats, Rove More Dangerous Outside the West Wing -- Karl Rove may be leaving his roles as hard-nosed strategist and bookish policy expert in the Bush White House, but that doesnt mean Democrats can rest easy. Karl outside the White House is more dangerous to Democrats than Karl inside the White House, said Democratic strategist Donna Brazile, who was Al Gores campaign manager. Her view: Hell have lots more free time now to dream up ways to boost President Bushs standing, rebrand the GOP and conquer the 2008 electoral map." Do these guys have it on the brain or what? They are literally, utterly paranoid, obsessed with rage and hatred for Karl Rove, which Im going to tell you what it all boils down to. That quote from Donna Brazile sums it up for me. They are scared to death of Karl Rove, and they have been for all of these years. When you listen to these people talk about Rove on television, I want you to understand the prism through which they see the man. They are scared to death of him.
Answer: That's correct. If you watch or listen to them all, they all say the same things. As soon as one says something different, they all fallow suit. If you notice, the liberals then make the new points their ralley cries. They claim free thought, but simply repeat what they are told. For example, the NYTimes, last week, published an article stating the Iraq US military surge IS working. Now other liberal media outlets are beginning to repeat the same thing. Why? To both follow the leader and attempt to save the Democrats from themselves.

To my military family. Do you think what is going on with Congress now devided about the issue on the war ?
is a disturbing aspect of our soldiers life in active duty? Are you as disgusted as I am? I have been married to an US AF MGST. My deceased husband served two tours in Vietnam and Korea. I wonder how much disrespect our soldiers are receiving. I think its down right un deserving and disrespect full. I feel they are under payed and deserve better to be able to provide for their families. What do you all think about this?
Charity you must not have understood me what I was trying to bring accross. What I meant is, all our soldiers are doing, to carry out their duties in war times, and not being really reeimbursed for their sacrefices thats whats bucking me. Cause, I think every one of them deserves more!
Wally Y well put into words. And I say thank you too all of you who served our country with honor, dignity to keep us safe. God bless all of you.
Answer: I, totally understand. I was there during '67 to '71. I have a lot of respect for the military. However, like Viet Nam, I don't understand why politicians feel it is their business to run war. They are not prepared for it, they have no idea what it is like in reality, they don't want to bother with it, yet they want to run it. I don't believe the military should be where they are now and I think it is a miscarriage of justice that the President is allowed to get away with this abuse of power. Not only should he be impeached for throwing the Constitution out, but he should be jailed for causing the murders of all of the military in Iraq, Afghanistan and anywhere else he has had troops sent. He is operating as a king and not as duly elected President of the United States, or maybe more like a Dictator, under the auspices of Dick, Jeb, Marvin and the moron he put in charge of Homeland (Nazi Party) Security. But this is just my humble opinion.

ORMOND BEACH, Fla.-- When Mitt Romney swept into the contentious battleground state of Florida on Sunday, the first local issue he raised was the nations mortgage foreclosure crisis, which is arguably at its worst here, from this city on the northern coast to the ghost-town developments in what used to be farmland south of Miami. How Would the Healthcare Bill be Helpful?
Answer: It would help by improving the healthcare of Americans.

What if Amanda Knox wasnt White. Would America still feel strongly about her being found quilty?
in a foreign country for murder? I think her race plays a major factor as to why most Americans feel that she received an unfair trial. The same thing happens when White children go missing. The media broadcasts 24/7. Its like a country wide man hunt. Hispanic, Asian, Arabic, Black...these children dont receive a fraction of the media coverage if they go missing. Back to Amanda Knox; do I think shes guilty? Who knows. If shes guilty of anything, its taking drugs. Maybe she and her boyfriend were too doped up; theres no telling what really happened. If Amanda was Black, Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson would be all over it. The majority of White America would assume that the Black person was guilty as charged. Im sure the family has already contacted their Congress person and that person will probably contact Hillary Clinton; as if she could really do anything about this? America is full of double standards; White, Black, Hispanic, Asian, Arabic, European. No one is immune. I will say this; when it comes to White people getting themselves into hot water in foreign countries, all of a sudden the foreign countries rules and regulations are "unfair." Wake up Dorothy, youre not in Kansas any more. Youre in Italy!

Italians arent White.
Rome - Italian judges angrily hit back Monday at American accusations that the 26-year prison sentence for college student Amanda Knox for the murder of her British flatmate was based on flawed evidence, a botched investigation, and a coerced confession.
The chief prosecutor in the case, whose call for Ms. Knox and an Italian man to be sentenced to life in prison was rejected by a jury in the Umbrian hill town of Perugia, said US criticism of the 11-month murder trial was unfair and unfounded.
American skepticism over the fairness of the trial has hurt Italian national pride, with the countrys leading daily newspaper, Corriere della Sera, commenting: "The (US) administration cannot close Guantanamo, yet it finds the time to think about Perugia." (The US State Department has not commented on the verdict.)

Now can we call 0bama a Marxist?
Karl Marx made class struggle the central fact of social evolution. “The history of all hitherto existing human society is the history of class struggles.”
Class Struggle
Also called class war, class warfare. (in Marxist thought) the struggle for political and economic power carried on between capitalists and workers.
The idea, associated with Karl Marx, that conflict between the bourgeoisie and the proletariat is inevitable and will result in the triumph of socialism over capitalism.
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/class+warfare
0bama over the last few days:
1. “I reject the idea that asking a hedge fund manager to pay the same tax rate as a plumber or a teacher is class warfare. I think it’s just the right the thing to do. This is not class warfare, it’s math.”
2. "This is about priorities. This is about choices. If we want to pay for this jobs plan, and close this deficit, and invest in our future, the money has to come from somewhere. Would you rather keep tax loopholes for oil companies? Or do you want construction workers to have a job rebuilding our bridges? Would you rather keep tax breaks for millionaires and billionaires? Or do you want to put teachers back to work, and help small businesses, and cut taxes for middle-class families?
The Republicans in Congress call this class warfare. Well you know what? If asking a billionaire to pay the same tax rate as plumber or teacher makes me a warrior for the middle class, Ill wear that charge as a badge of honor. Because the only class warfare Ive seen is the battle thats been waged against the middle class in this country for a decade."
3. "But you know the Republicans are already dusting off their old talking points. Thats class warfare, they say. In fact, in the next breath, theyll complain that people living in poverty -- people who suffered the most over the past decade -- dont pay enough in taxes. Thats bad crazy. When you start saying, at a time when the top one-tenth of 1 percent has seen their incomes go up four or five times over the last 20 years, and folks at the bottom have seen their incomes decline -- and your response is that you want poor folks to pay more? Give me a break. If asking a billionaire to pay the same tax rate as a Jew… uh, as a janitor makes me a warrior for the working class, I wear that with a badge of honor. I have no problem with that. Its about time."

DYNASTY & LACK OF DEMOCRACY IN CONGRESS? WHERE DOES GANDHIJI FIGURE IN THIS? WHAT IS HIS ROLE IN IT?
In the 1992 calcutta session of AICC, the then congress president Sitaram Kesri removed his Gandhi cap & placed it at the feet of Sonia Gandhi. All the newspapers reported this incident.
But did this undemocratic ways of the congress leadership & the tendency towards autocracy & family dynasty start with Mahatma Gandhi himself?
"Motilal Nehru and Subhash Chandra Bose both complained of Gandhis tendency to ignore party resolutions when they went against his wishes, and to work with cliques rather than consult and cooperate with all party members. In a letter dated March 28, 1939, from Manbhum, Bihar - Bose complained bitterly to Nehru of Gandhis quiet campaign of non-cooperation with him. Bose had just won the Presidency of the Indian National Congress, defeating Gandhis chosen nominee, Dr Pattabhi. At first, Gandhi had tried to talk Bose out of running for the post, and tried to work out a backroom deal for Dr Pattabhis ascension (as he had done on many earlier occasions). But Bose was determined to seek the mandate of Congress activists, and won by a handsome margin in an election where the official machinery of the Congress had put all its weight behind Gandhis hand-picked nominee.
Boses historic election signified the mood of the Indian masses, who were becoming increasingly impatient with Gandhis tepid nationalism. Bose had always strived to accelerate the freedom struggle, and the mass of Congress Party workers appreciated his sincerity and unswerving commitment to the national cause. In many ways, he was the best person to lead the Congress, with intellect and vision that exceeded Gandhi.
But Gandhi, along with Patel and Nehru formed a tactical block against Bose, and prevented him from functioning effectively as leader of Indias preeminent national organization. In vain did Bose make his case with Nehru, who remained unmoved, and eventually, it led to Bose having to quit the Congress, and organize outside its tedious confines." ( biography of gandhiji by Dr. Martin green).
"The honour of hosting what was, perhaps, the most memorable of the Congress annual sessions went to Lahore, the capital city of Punjab, and the honour of declaring Purna Swaraj as the only honourable goal Indians could strive for went to the man, Jawaharlal Nehru.
It was Gandhiji again who was the decisive voice in investing Jawaharlal Nehru with the office of President in what was to be a critical year of mass struggle. Only three out of eighteen Provincial Congress Committees had wanted Jawaharlal, but recognizing the appositeness of the occasion, and the upsurge of the youth who had made such a glorious success of the Simon Boycott, Gandhiji insisted and as usual got his way." (indiansaga.com)
Answer: Subhash Chandra Bose was a practical man and even though he disagreed with Hitler he allied with him considering "the enemy of the enemy is a friend" adage.
India was a colonised nation and needed modern arms and ammunition for a fight against the largest empire of the day, the British.
Those that criticise Bose on the basis of his association with Hitler are being unrealistic and speaking from the benefit of hindsight. Many people admired Hitler at the time for reviving Germany through his nationalist ideals.
Bose may have found himself on the wrong side of history as things turned out but his intentions were never fascist but only freedom for India.
India provided the largest contingent of soldiers around 2.5 million troops fighting to defend the British and Europe on the British side because of Congress subservience to the British. Indian POWs were also fighting alongside Bose's Azad Hind Sena.
Indians were probably the only people who fought from both sides in the second world war.
Point is, if 2.5 million Indian soldiers can be sent by the Congress party to go and die for Europe and Britain, why could they have not fought directly against the British for their own Homeland under the leadership of SC Bose?
Congress betrayed Bose and it betrayed the aspirations of all Indians.
Freedom does not come in begging bowls and this is exactly the reason why Indians have no value for it and still act like mental slaves of the west.
Had Independence come through blood and toil in SC Bose's way, Indians would be a proud self dependent people today!
Shame on people like My fun who in their blind Congress worship not only disown Bose but mock him.
SC Bose was a true Indian Hero, a legend and the tallest leader that India has produced. He was willing to walk the talk and put himself in harm's way, unlike Nehru who sat inside offices, smelling his roses, romancing Mrs. Mountbatten.
