Further, calling criminals for talks disregarding the unlawful and criminal activities done by them would set evil precedence for rise of more radical groups inthe country! That the Centre shirked its duty, made the naxal / Maoist militancy a state subject to address, with Centre playing a supplementary role like sending Para military force etc is, in the opinion of several critics, a serious blunder! Particularly if people like Mamata would take extreme measures like the release of top men, without consulting experts at the Central level (though the PMs coalition dharma could still play spoil sport goading him to give a go ahead without proper discussion with experts / opposition parties etc), it could cost the nation dearly! OK, what is your considered opinion on the move of the new Bengal CM on the crucial issue?
Answer: Mamata Banerjee hopes that she can bring peace by means of talks.I think this is not at all possible given that naxals have never tried to sincerely carry out talks.I think it is wrong on her part to release top naxals too.The central govt. just keeps this question hanging in air as to how naxal forces can be removed from this country.They put it on the state govt. and state govt. puts it on the central govt.This only makes it more difficult to eradicate this menace.
