Why would Conservatives be against Obamas trip to India?
The entire purpose of the trip is about opening trade between India & the US, that will provide more jobs in the US and grow industry & revenues.
India is the second-fastest growing economy in the world behind China. And unlike China, India isnt a Communist country, its a Democracy.
I know Conservatives just want to hate Obama for anything and everything he does, but I dont get the logic between criticizing a trip designed to help the US economy.
And this isnt even about the fictitious "200 million dollar a day" rumor that has already been debunked, along with the "34 warships" or the "secret Obama tunnel" that I also read about - Im just talking about Conservatives criticizing the actual trip itself.
Why would Conservatives be against increasing trade between the US and the second-fastest-growing economy in the world? Do Conservatives hate economic growth & job growth in the US?
Answer: The sad truth is, President Obama could be poised to achieve world peace forever and they still would have something to complain, rant, scream about. They don't like him because he is black, they don't like him because they've been told not to. Anyone that will buy into the Commie, Socialist, Marxist, Terrorist, Thug....
Oh never mind. I just don't have the energy. Their ignorance hurts my head.

why dont americans take education seriously?
All over america the smartest kids are asian and basically non American or from Immigrant families (Indian American, etc)....For example in my highschool the top 12 kids were all non-americans(kids from india/china)...Isnt that sad considering Americans should be the smartest in their own country, especially academically? Most Americans in the schools are obsessed with being "cool" while chinese and Indians actually have priorities in life...Why is that and yes Im generalizing but I speak for the majority of Americans...
Answer: Many Americans don't see the seriousness of the importance of an education. This is an interesting point you make because I notice the same thing too back in high school and even now in college. The international students usually work harder and longer to achieve the results they want. As a result, they succeed. Many Americans aren't hungry enough for it as sad as it is. My parents aren't American therefore I was raised with the international mentality that I need to be my best at everything and never settle or do a half-done job. If I have to stay up for a few extra hours to make sure I completely understand something, I will do it and will not go to bed until I feel better about it. Many international students do the same thing, but many American students will just go to bed and say "oh well, I'll worry about it tomorrow" and put things off.

Did China invaded India?
Chinese called it a border war, but in history class i learned that Chinese fought India for a piece of land that belonged to India, isnt that kind of like inversion or empires?
Answer: By today standards yes China did invade India. That is what got the U.S. in to Desert Storm in 1991. Iraq invaded Kuwait and we kicked them back into Iraq in less then 90 hours (once the war was started). It took us almost a year to build up the troops needed to free Kuwait of the invaders. Also remember that history seems to repeat itself. So we must learm from it so we don't repeat it.

Why isnt India (3rd biggest polluter in the world) cutting ANY emissions!!?
Looking at the top 4 polluters:
USA
China
India
Japan
USA has pledged to cut 25% of carbon emissions by 2020, (off 2005 levels)
China has pledged to cut 45% of carbon intensity* by 2020, (off 2005 levels)
Japan has pledged to cut emissions by 15% by 2020 (off 1990 levels)
*Since Chinas economy is still expanding 50% Carbon intensity is translated as halving the emission ratio towards GDP, ie itd increase at nearly half the rate than its current model.
My question is why isnt India doing anything?? It certainly has the manpower, technology isnt really an issue, and the economys faring quite well in comparison to surrounding democracies, especially in this financial climate.
Answer: You forgot to mention Russia. I'm sure India is working towards cutting CO2 emissions. Can you find the article which says they are doing nothing?
Also you need to look at what percentage they CO2 they produce compared to the rest of the world, and it should be obvious that they produce very little. (1.29 metric tons per capita)

How many of you think that China is ahead of India by 25 - 30 yrs? Isnt their infrastructure far better?
Answer: The main reasons are...
china is a communist ruled state.
The government in china is concentrating in all sectors and keeping an eye...both govt and private sectors.
There are no man worship or hero worship.
There is no politician swindling the treasury.
There is no tall talk about freebies, and the govt is expecting all to struggle.
it is not worrying about expenditures, but it is keen on good results for which the games are good example. The real talents are encouraged and no politics over it.
How they conducted the olympic games is an example and also how gold medals they got are their achievement.
Their abnormal growth in the last 10 years in information technology is also an example.
while comparing with india, china has power to take independent views, whereas in india, it is a democratic country and we need all leaders opinion to bring an amendment or rule.
Anyway, it is true that we are developing very fast in all sectors and the government also interested in encouraging. we are in the first position in information and technology sectors, motor mechanism and industries/agriculture.

Isnt the best thing for the environment to stop buying goods from China/India and just buy local?
China is now the worlds biggest CO2 emitter, they are destroying their country at a furious pace, and so are the Indians. I dont want to pay for THAT!
Answer: China/India are emitting CO2 because us Americans want clean environments. Who will make all the products that we buy for so cheap? If the US have factories to manufactures all those products, we will also emit lots of CO2 and prices will go up. In a way, you should thank them for having bad environment so we can have a cleaner one.

How was China able to get so far ahead of India economically in such a short time, both in gross GNP and?
per capita?
China isnt that much bigger than India and India had the British model of capitalism for decades after the Brits pulled out.
Answer: In 1840,China was not a capitalism country, but GDP of China hold 40% of the whole world.Yes,China GDP is nearly half of the whole world GDP in 1840.
China become poor from 1840 to 1940s because of continuous war.But not because of their political structure.
Even China was a commie country from 1949 to 1978,Their economy still grew 6.1% average per year before 1978.After 1978,China GDP grew 9.7%.Why?Coz for an agriculture country, the fast way to develop economics is Centralization.By Centralization, they can develop solid foundation of industry. They can produce anything, though not the newest thing, still they can make old plane, train, cars, tvs, computers in 1978.So after 1978,with new technology and open market,China economy booms.
Plus, religion also play an essential role.Hindu people believe they can become wealthy if they are religious,so they have a harmony life style. But Chinese people never believe that too much since ancient time, though some of them believe in Buddha,so they work very hard without any complaints.
Spain become wealthy for dictatorship. Why?Also,Singapore become wealthy with dictatorship too.So dictatorship is not a bad thing for economy some times, though it is not good for sustainable development.

Why Isnt Indias Rising Superpower Status Boosting Indian Self-Respect In The Same Way That Is In China???
As China flies to the top, Chinese people are developing a strong sense of pride, confidence, self-respect, both as individuals as well as a nation, race and community. They are becoming nationalistic and patriotic to such an extent that has never been witnessed before. Their excellent performance has brought home the belief that they are just as good, if not better, than all the other civilised races. This increase in respect and pride that they have developed has engendered a revival of Chinese culture, ancient Chinese history, practices, religion and philosophy and pretty much all things Chinese.
In the case of India, we view the absolute opposite. As India too flies to the top, Hindu religion, ancient Indian culture, history, knowledge and pretty much all things Indian are increasingly being thrown out of the window.
As Indians start to adopt a more wealthy lifestyle, patriotism, nationalism, love for one’s country and people are increasingly becoming meaningless and Indians are staring to view Hindu religion, Indian culture, the idea of nationalism and love for one’s brethren in a derogatory manner and as being backward. Indians are trying hard to be something that they are not.
Chinese are amalgamating their unique cultural identity with a more modern globalized image. Whereas Indians seem to think that social and economic progress can only be at the expense of their identity as Hindus or as Indians.
If we look at history, we see that whenever a country develops, so too does the feeling of nationalism and cultural pride of the people (e.g. Japan, Saudi Arabia, Germany, France, Italy, China, Malaysia etc). Why is it that the bloody situation is always reversed in India???
My question is, why is China’s rising superpower status having a completely opposite effect on it’s population to that which India’s rising superpower status is having on its population?
Answer: china is a communists ruled country. They enforce law strictly. There is no corrupted politicians. There is also no plenty of political parties. There is no power thirsty people. while comparing china, india is a democratic country. people are uncontrollable. If you catch an individual under any law, he will come finding loopholes and by money. mostly corrupted. here politicians are power hungry people. There is no strict enforcement of law. There is no leader to think in the progress of the nation. They forget our rich cultures and traditions. The people are changing slowly to the western style of living and begin to follow their mentality. There is no co-operation between political parties and its leaders in seeing welfare of the country, whereas they fully co-operates in their welfare. Hence, your motivation, thinking are very high and appreciatable, but comparison is poor.

India vs China (Future Economy,Military)?
Right now China is the "big cheese" in Asia no doubt and is on track to becoming the worlds largest economy.India is decades behind China in terms of economy but it is also growing at a fast pace.Ultimately, who do you think will have the larger economy (in terms of wealth).
China has the better military now,but India isnt far behind.Ultimately (again) who will have the better military in the future?
Answer: their military might is weak compared to their economic might, it doesnt matter if you have an extra submarine or missile, if with a few signatures they can cripple your country economically causing riots and strife and breakdown of internal order then the economy is the way to go.
being chinese myself but quite detached cause i dont live there, i would still say china.

Answer: India is better than China in the following ways:
1. The products are of better quality. Some Chinese products do not have even the names of the manufacturers on the boxes. They come without any warranty.
2. Legal systems are better in India (as per many foreign websites which compare the two countries). So people can get better justice.

Isnt it in China and Indias best interest to clean up the Yangtze and Ganges rivers?

We cannot live without water. So isn’t it in China and India’s governments interest to clean up the rivers and prevent their pollution so that you don’t have people dying? You have to find a way!!
Answer: Despite the fact that U.S. is still the leader in pollution, China will soon surpass us as they continue to industrialize. They economy has improved and their population is stabilizing, which is good, but at what cost?
